The main lighting parts of a general car are the front and rear headlights. The main parts are: left and right lens, left and right decorative frame, left and right lamp housing, left and right reflector, etc. The appearance machining requirements of automobile lights are extremely strict. The rp part of the car light is the main milling part of the entire car, and it is also the main core, which can play an important role to a certain extent. Since the mold is a large mold and the parting surface is complex, the molded part and template adopt an integrated structure. The advantages of this structure are compact structure, good strength and rigidity, and small mold volume, which avoids cumbersome processes such as frame opening, frame matching and diagonal wedge manufacturing. 1. The milling parting surface is smooth and has no sharp corners, no thin steel, wireless or spot sealing. Under normal circumstances, the parting and milling surface of the lamp mold is extremely demanding. There is no need for EDM to clean the corners, the parting surface is not easy to run off, and the constructed surface is not allowed to wrinkle.

2. Design R angles for all non-forming corners, and design larger process R angles as much as possible. The edges of the mold that are not involved in forming or matching must be designed with chamfered C or R angles. To a certain extent, the chamfer is designed to be as large as possible according to the size of the mold.

3. If necessary, optimize the plastic parts. Try to simplify the mold processing when designing the parting surface. The parting surface made has no thin steel, no sharp corners, and reasonable penetration angle. For CNC machining of medium and large molds for automobiles, the plastic surface of the parts can be blocked by copper, and the inserts need to be designed with a 5 degree slope on both sides to facilitate mold matching and assembly and disassembly.
