Therefore, the atomizer and its surrounding accessories must be made of materials with high temperature resistance and good heat dissipation, so as to withstand the high temperature of the heating atomization process, and will not damage the atomizer due to heat accumulation. In addition, the heating process can not produce peculiar smell and destroy the taste of smoke, and at the same time, it must have sufficient strength. In this way, it can continue to be used after a moderate to mild bump or fall, and it will not be broken.

Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) material is selected as the material of the atomizer oil tank of the high-end electronic cigarette. PEEK is a unique semi-crystalline, thermoplastic engineering plastic with excellent chemical properties. It is often used in hot water or steam environment, can maintain a high level of bending strength and tensile strength, and can withstand high temperatures. The long-term use temperature can reach 260℃, and there is no smell at high temperature, and the thermal conductivity is good.


Although for the atomizer, PEEK can meet all the above requirements and is the best choice for comprehensive performance. But the price of PEEK is very high, reaching about 1,000 yuan/kg.

The upper cover shell of the high-end electronic cigarette atomizer is made of polyphenylsulfone resin (PPSU) modified material. PPSU is a new type of non-crystalline thermoplastic engineering plastic with light weight, high strength, good smell at high temperature, and does not contain BPA. In the case of repeated heating, it will not denature, it can be sterilized, and it can be in contact with water for a long time. Even if PPSU is immersed in hot water at 90°C for 1 year, its mechanical properties will not decrease. The upper cover of the atomizer made of PPSU can meet the safety requirements under heated conditions. It can meet the strength requirements of parts when inserting and pulling out, and improve the positioning accuracy during mold clamping.

The requirements for the plastic parts of the tobacco rod and suction nozzle are not very high. As long as it can ensure good appearance, spray coating, and electroplating, the nozzle part can meet the requirements of food grade, and the material is hard and not easy to scratch. Therefore, generally used plastics such as PC, ABS, PP, PE and so on are generally used on cigarette rods and suction nozzles, which are cheap and can meet the requirements of use after electroplating and spraying treatment.

Some high-end electronic cigarette holders will use polyetherimide (PEI) materials. PEI is an amorphous thermoplastic with high mechanical strength and rigidity, and has very high creep resistance in a wide temperature range and long-term high temperature. In addition, it also has very good hydrolysis resistance and dimensional stability, can withstand high temperatures of 200°C, is odorless at high temperatures, and has good thermal conductivity and safety.
